Over time the spring that sets the preload on the King Pin loses its tension. This creates play in the knuckle resulting in premature wear of the nylon bushing and lower bearing. The spring eliminator cap, like our Dana 60 Steering Arms, will replace the spring with a 1" Set Screw. The spring eliminator cap is a perfect addition to our Dana 60 Crossover Arm if you are not planning on running a complete HI-Steer kit.
