The uses for this latch are endless--tube doors, steering columns, seat sliders, tool hold downs, plus many other quick release applications. The heavy duty spring loaded pin is a 1/2" long and a 1/2" in diameter. The 1" O.D. steel pin housing is 1 1/2" in length and provides plenty of surface to weld in place. Our T handle latch is able to lock in the open position by pulling and rotating at 90 degrees. Overall height is 3.5" These are made from stainless and are made to last, nothing weak here!

Q: Can I weld stainless to mild steel?

A: Yes you can! This can be done successfully with your standard gas mixture and MIG wire. If you would like to keep the stainless property in the affected area it is recommended to use a stainless wire but the cost of a spool of stainless would not be worth it for a one time project.
